Why don't my LEDs shine ?
If your new LED lamps do not light up after installation, there are several possible causes. Here you can find a step-by-step troubleshooting guide.
1️⃣ LED polarity is wrong – just turn it around!
LEDs have a positive and negative poles, while conventional light bulbs work in both directions.
✅ Solution:
- Remove the LED from the socket and rotate it 180°.
- Reinsert it and test whether it lights up now.
📌 Tip: This is the most common cause of non-functioning LEDs!
2️⃣ Check socket or contacts
If the LED still doesn't work after turning it over, the socket or contact could be the problem.
✅ Solution:
- Check if the metal contacts in the socket are clean and not bent.
- If necessary, clean the contacts with a cloth or some contact spray.
📌 Tip: Test the LED with another power source (e.g. battery) to make sure it is not defective.
3️⃣ Check fuse – possible short circuit?
If several LEDs or other lights in your vehicle suddenly stop working, a fuse blown be.
✅ Solution:
- Look in backup plan your vehicle for the fuse for the lighting in question.
- If the fuse is defective, replace it with a equivalent security out of.
📌 A notice: If the new fuse blows again immediately, there may be another electrical problem.
4️⃣ Can-Bus system – error message or flickering?
Modern vehicles often have a CAN bus systemthat monitors power consumption. LEDs consume less power than traditional light bulbs, which leads to Error message in the on-board computer or flickering can lead to.
✅ Solution:
- Use special Can-Bus compatible LEDsdesigned for such vehicles.
- Alternatively, you can resistance (load resistance 5W-10W) parallel to the LED to solve the problem.

5️⃣ LED defective? – Test function on external power source
If none of the above solutions work, the LED may actually be defective.
✅ Solution:
- Test the LED on a other power source, e.g. a 12V battery or power supply.
